Requirements:

Certification Requirements

• Firearms Safety Certificate (SAFE or DNR Hunter Safety Certification)

• Coaches will not be able to submit scores for any athlete that has not completed firearm safety certification, and athletes are not allowed to participate in any team event until certification is complete and their profiles have been updated.

Equipment

• Ear and eye protection(Ear plugs supplied)

• Shooting/Safety glasses

• Rx glasses are OK

• No sunglasses

• 12 Gauge Shotgun

• Semi-Automatic, Pump, or Over/Under

• Gun fit is critical

• Shell Bag/Pouch or Shell Vest (Shell bag supplied)

 

Proper attire

• Uniform jersey required

• No sandals, crocs, or flip flops

• Dress for conditions

 Gun Best Practices

Clean shotgun

• Cleaning station provided every Monday

Put copy of serial number in a safe place

 

Put your name on your gun

• Painter’s tape works well

​

Expectations

Be respectful of club property/teammates/coaches

• Follow the Code of Conduct

• Be respectful of neighborhood when driving to and from Range

• If you are too sick to go to school, you are too sick to come to trap

• No guns on school property

• Gun & range safety is critical
